Chart Topping “Like A G6″!

Far East Movements ‘Like A G6′ Officially Platinum

Announce November Tour Dates With La Roux

Debut Album ‘Free Wired’ in Stores Now!

Los Angeles CA - Far East Movement’s (aka FM) chart topping smash ‘Like A G6‘ has reached certified platinum selling over 1.1 million copies to date. The song remains at the #1 spot on the country’s Digital Song chart and #2 on Billboard Hot 100 for the second week in a row.

The group will be ‘geekin out’ at shows in November with ‘Bulletproof’ and ‘In For The Kill’ hit makers La Roux. Far East Movement combine electro and hip-hop music for a high-energy downtown Los Angeles loft party sound and lifestyle called ‘Free Wired.’

“We want fans at our shows to feel free to let loose and ‘geek out’ however they feel comfortable. Our music and lifestyle is about bringing the energy and making sure everyone is having a good time,” says Kev Nish.

Earlier this month, 500+ fans packed the Hard Rock Café in Times Square New York for a chance to meet Far East Movement and see them perform at “Cherrytree Times Square” with label mates Mohambi, Colette Carr and Vincent Frank aka Frankmusik. The event helped raise awareness and funds for Hard Rock Café’s “Pinktober” campaign to fight breast cancer by donating proceeds from the merchandise sold to “Pinktober” fund. The group also celebrated the album release of ‘Free Wired’ and signed hundreds of copies for fans.

Kaci Battaglia feat. Ludacris – Body Shots

What do you get when you add a mediocre song with a hot rapper? The Billboard Hot 100!  Well, that’s not entirely true but we have to add at least one more song to the list- Kaci Battaglia’s Body Shots. While the song has a decent beat, the subject matter lacks substance and Ludacris becomes the only saving grace for this track. The one shot video doesn’t help. There is nothing hot about the skinny women frolicking around the white screen pumping rear ends they don’t have. I saw a commercial on BET that advertises “booty pads”. Didn’t they get the memo?  Check out this video and let us know your thoughts. Grade: C-. GE

KOPATECHNIC DEBUTS NEW ALBUM!

Their first album, “Welcome To KopaTechnic”, encompasses all of the members’ musical passions. This consists of House, Deep House, Dance, Pop, R&B and Hip Hop Flavors lending to an eclectic blend of pure Musical Bliss

Dance music has been evolving since its birth in the mid-80′s and nobody understands the evolution of such music like Chicago-born music producer/songwriter/remixer, Rodney K. Jackson (“Love Don’t Live Here Anymore (Madonna Remix)”, “Finally”).

Born in the era of disco and funky-style tunes, Jackson has forever been a believer in the celebratory message that music can have an impact on a person’s soul. Ringleader Jackson is proud of his troupe, “What makes us unique is that you can actually hear the instruments we use.”

“I went through some personal things in my life like losing my mother and father in a short period time which changed me spiritually and personally.  So traveling, playing keyboards, writing, and producing were no longer interesting to me. I spent time in church working as a music director and taking care of family.”

Jackson pursued other business ventures like thepubreport.com (online urban news and entertainment) and upicktheartists.com. But as labels began to fall and publishing companies started consolidating, Jackson saw the opportunity for indies to produce and market their own music.

“Today’s artists feel they don’t need an A&R or label head to tell them what to put out. Also, as an indie, you can ride your project on a grassroots level where as a major would drop it and you.”

Born in the Netherlands, and raised in New York, Amber Dirks (Reflex Ft. Amber Dirks “Feel The Love”, DJ JST & Amber Dirks “Rejoice”, and Power 2 Move “Stepping Out”) offers her vocals to the group. Jackson and Dirks have collaborated together with Markus Schulz on the single “Do You Want Me” and have been waiting to get back in the studio ever since. An old friend, Jimmie Alston, was more than willing to dedicate his skills and energy to the new project and it was then that this trio became what is now KopaTechnic.

KopaTechnic Brings Music Back to the People

Platinum BMI award-winning music producer, R.K. Jackson, returns after a seven year hiatus to remind us of what we were missing in dance music

Beverly Hills, CA  – KopaTechnic, the newest addition to the dance music genre is becoming one of the most sought after new groups of 2010. The eight track debut EP is slated for an early 2010 release with the assistance of Otto D’Agnolo (Chaton Studios). The EP is already seeping with summer hits like “I Just Can’t Take It” and will transport you poolside, drink in hand, and praying the season never ends.

Their first track, “When I Hit The Club”, is a taste of what is yet to come from this eclectic group. Laced with piano beats and huge bass, it is impossible to sit still with this track thumping in your ears. This track already has a Reflex remix that is quickly becoming a dance-floor favorite.

“Makes Me Feel” is a track that is all but club-worthy and expresses KopaTechnic’s true range of style; with a slight hip-hop undertone and vocals that would make Beyonce want to dance; this is a track that will surely grab the attention of all music enthusiasts.

KopaTechnic has created a soulful ballad with “Journey Thru Vegas” that intertwines Soul Train with modern day club beats that make it irresistible. A track created in less than a day by three trained lyricists invokes one to remember how music used to be, and what it has evolved into today. Jimmie mentions, “Music is a stamp in time. Every artist hopes that their songs will be remembered and that’s what we want with Journey Thru Vegas.”

The eight track album is fast paced and up-beat in the first half but leads to a more mellow and introspective second half.

About KopaTechnic:

Dance music has been evolving since its birth in the mid-80′s and nobody understands the evolution of such music like R.K. Jackson (Madonna’s “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore Remix”, RuPau’sl “Little Drummer Boy”, Cece Peniston’s “Finally”). Born in the era of disco and funky-style tunes, Jackson has forever been a believer in the celebratory message of dancing and sexuality that music can have on a person’s soul. Ringleader Jackson is proud of his troupe, “What makes us unique is that you can actually hear the instruments we use.”

Amber Dirks (Reflex Ft. Amber Dirks “Feel The Love”, DJ JST & Amber Dirks “Rejoice”, and Power 2 Move “Stepping Out”) offers her vocals to the group. Jackson and Dirks had collaborated together with Markus Schulz on the single “Do You Want Me” and have been waiting to get back in the studio ever since. An old friend, Jimmie Alston, was more than willing to dedicate his skills and energy to the new project and it was then that this trio became what is now KopaTechnic.

These three vibrant artists are not only trying to help us understand their craft, but want to take other artists under their wing and show them the ropes. “Our end goal is assisting upcoming artists and grooming them so that they will learn from our mistakes.” Amber responds with sincerity.
