Steve Jobs: 1955-2011

Apple, Inc. and Disney’s Pixar co-founder Steve Paul Jobs lost his battle with cancer yesterday. Jobs was 56 and had stepped down as Apple’s CEO back in August of this year. Jobs was known for his innovative, “out-of-the-box” thinking that helped create the world’s most popularly used technologies such as the iPod and the iPhone. This statement can be found on Apple’s website about Jobs:

“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amzing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.”
