Chicago International Film Festival held their 46th Black Perspectives Tribute honoring actor Forest Whitaker on Saturday, October 9, 2010. The tribute took place at the Chicago Chase Auditorium and followed a reception at the Wit Hotel. The Black Perspectives Program showcases films that celebrate the richness and diversity of black cultures around the world and was founded in 1997 through a collaboration with famous acclaimed director Spike Lee.  The Chicago International Film Festival is the oldest international film festival in the U.S.
