FASHION in a SNAPSHOT: Fashion Spring 2011 show Re-cap

The Hoop-la of Fashion Week  has come to an end, yes I’m still sad that I wasn’t basking in the glow of the concrete jungle , with all the fashionable peeps running through the streets of NYC but non-the-less, I have a re-cap of some of the BEST shows of Fashion Week 2010.

Christian Siriano Spring 2011

Project Runway Winner Christian Siriano showed his Spring 2011 Line on Thursday Sept 9,2010. The Line was filled with crisp, clean white pieces, with the perfect hint of brown leather accents. The structured pieces are great paired together, or worn as separates, I am totally in LOVE with the collection.  Siriano also played with texture and patterns, constructing beautiful flowy gowns and tops! My fav is the Gold-greenish sequin deep v-neckline dress, I could totally see that walking down some red carpet for the Awards. Take a look at some of the collection.

Derek Lam Spring 2011

I am drooling at the computer as I type I am so in LOVE with the Derek Lam Spring 2011 Collection. I love the contrast of men inspired pieces and tailoring, with the mix of  soft sheer feminine fabrics. The pairing of jean pieces together is brilliant, head-to-toe jean is making a comeback, and so are long dresses and skirts. The flowy chiffon dress is needed in my closet immediate for a random Miami night! Checkout my fav looks below.

L.A.M.B. Spring 2011

Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. collection was a mix of African Tribal  prints and her signature style infuse into one, I must say that I love it. Stefani’s collection was nothing new, we have seen tribal prints and bold patterns from designer’s that don’t have the celebrity name to back them, but I will say Gwen but her own spin on the garments and it has a young and fresh appeal,  that any daring darling would love to be seen in. The bright patterned crops tops, and perfectly tailor strapless dresses and shorts along with  silk chiffon ruffled shoulder dresses were a perfect mix of  funky and fresh. Take a look at some of the pieces.

Zac by Zac Posen Spring 2011

Zac  Posen as we’ve known, has always stuck true to his fun, flirty aesthetic, and the Spring 2011 runway show was no different. Posen’s show was filled with all kinds of flirty, whimsical, yellow, red and printed pieces that will have you dieing for one in your closet.

Tracey Reese Spring 2011

“Clean, classic, mellow, groovy!…inspired by the dream of glamorous travel and immersing one’s self in a new and exotic environment.” Is the opening statement of the Tracey Reese runway show, and I must agree, her collection is classic, clean pieces that we are all to familiar with, I would’ve like to see some variation from Mrs. Reese, but the collection is still great non-the-less, Stable pieces that women love. Take a look at a few pics from the collection.
