Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s young lass is trying to step in their entertainment shoes with a new song of her own. Nine year old Willow Smith has released her first single track for her upcoming album titled “Whip My Hair” and it has created a lot of buzz. Would she get this much attention if she didn’t have famous parents? You be the judge!
Listen to \”Whip My Hair\” here.

I like that song, its my new saying, even if it’s a nine year old singing it..lol..
Will and Jada need to let their kids be kids! They are letting them grow up too fast! This little girl is a Lindsay Lohan in the making!
@Thickndathighs, I think you are totally wrong, Willow will never be a Linsday Lohan in the making, Willow’s parents are extremly grounded and strict on what she can and can’t do. Willow is a typical nine year old.(look at some of her interviews) At nine didn’t you have things you wanted to do, that seemed out of the ordinary, she is just lucky that she is afforded the chance to do those things, because of her parents wealth. Instead of putting her down, let’s encourage young Willow to be who she wants, try different things, and see what her passion really is in life. It’s always better to encourage a young child to go for what they want as long as they stay on the right path, and don’t stray and get caught in the hype, which I’m sure her parents have already told her.
@Tameka, only time will tell if she will end up like Lindsay or not but I don’t think either one of us really knows her parents parenting style and quite frankly theuy can’t be that strict letting her come out with a record, sign a deal with Jay-Z’s label and cut her hair like that. Seriously, this little girl did not have to work for anything and probaly never will but I just think this sends the wrong message to yet another even younger generation of kids who possibly can’t afford what Willow can. Kids will now think they can just sing and dance and not have to go to school! I never see the Smith kids at schools doing anything positive!
@Thickndathighs, you are right about one thing, and that is we don’t know their parenting style. Idk if you saw willow on the ryan seacrest morning show, but she talked about how she is home schooled, and that her parents are strict about school work, like most parents and that she is struggling in math like some other kids, so I do think her life has some normalness to it, although she is fortunate enough to be blessed with wealthy parents, you nor I know how hard she has worked on her singing and dancing(ie: vocal coach, dance class) all of thoes things take hard work. What is so wrong, with a child having a song out on the radio and being sign to a record label? Is this not how some of the greats started? Also about the hair, yeah it may be a bit drastic for a nine year old, but she is being her, and her mother as well as willow stated that she wanted to cut her hair like her grandmother’s, who’s hair is really short, but jada would not let her go that far, so she was only able to shave the sides. I see nothing wrong with this little girl, or her parents, let’s embrace positive, well behavied children! Go Willow!
@thickindathighs I agree with KT,she sum up what I had to say. We should celerate her achievements, and not bash her or her parents.
