Michael Jackson Dies At 50
Michael Jackson the iconic pop star whose career spanned over 40 years has died of cardiac arrest in Los Angeles .
Older brother Jermaine Jackson stated at a hospital press conference Thursday that the exact cause of his death would not be known until an autopsy was performed.
He said Michael Jackson’s personal doctor and paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home and UCLA Medical Center doctors also tried for more than an hour.
Jackson, on the verge on a comeback with a string of concerts scheduled in London, first started singing with his brothers in Gary, Indiana over 40 years ago. After signing with Motown, Michael and his brothers released hits such as “ABC”, “Never Can Say Goodbye”, and “Dancing Machine”. Michael struck out solo and created hit albums including the Quincy Jones produced “Off The Wall” and later with the record-setting “Thriller” LP in in 1982. Recently, Michael Jackson’s career has been overshadowed by financial, legal, and health issues. Nevertheless, his presence will be missed and impact will be forever etched in the fabric of American popular music.
